The Story Behind
Ah Seng Durian
Starting out from a makeshift stall outside his parents' provision shop, it was about fulfilling the neighbourhood's request and cravings for durians which propelled Ah Seng in bringing in limited quantity of kampong durians sporadically back in the 80s.

The Pioneer
Ah Seng, the man behind Ah Seng Durian, started off selling typical kampong durians back in the 80's together with his younger brother “Ah Chung” at their parents' provision shop business.

Ah Seng's Philosophy
To Ah Seng, every durian is a surprise, with each its own characteristic. His experience of over 30 years has taught him to distinguish the subtleties between different cultivars of the fruit. In order to obtain the best for his customers, Ah Seng personally makes regular visits to his suppliers to ensure the highest quality durians.
A simple motto which Ah Seng lives by is “A happy customer is a repeat customer” — a fundamental belief recognised by his customers, family, and staff. By virtue of his values and the quality of his durians, Ah Seng Durian has become a household name and is regarded by many as one of the best durian retailers in Singapore.
